The AMD Ryzen 5 7500X3D: 6-core CPU with 4.5 GHz Precision Boost 2

The AMD Ryzen 5 7500X3D from the Raphael processor family features six CPU cores based on the Zen 4 architecture. Compared to the previous generation, each processor core now has access to the entire L3 cache, significantly boosting gaming performance.
Paired with an AMD B670(E), B650E, B870E or X670(E) motherboard, the AMD Ryzen 5 7500X3D supports the PCI Express 5.0 standard, which is twice as fast as PCIe 4.0. Like its predecessors, the 7500X3D uses the AM5 platform and was designed for use with compatible AMD chipsets. An update to the latest BIOS version is required.

The AMD Ryzen 5 7500X3D has six physical CPU cores which, thanks to simultaneous multithreading (SMT), can each process two threads simultaneously, effectively doubling the number of computing cores.
The 6-core processor operates with a high base clock of 4.0 GHz per core, which is precisely adjusted in real time to the current application scenario via Precision Boost 2 and can be increased up to 4.5 GHz turbo within the thermal design power (TDP) of 65 watts.

With 3D V-Cache, AMD introduces a technology that significantly increases average gaming performance. The AMD Ryzen 5 7500X3D is equipped with an impressive 96 MB level 3 cache thanks to 3D V-Cache technology.
Why does the new memory improve gaming performance?
If there is no more space in the cache due to heavy usage, data is offloaded to the main memory. However, access times to the RAM are significantly higher than to the cache memory located directly on the CPU. Thanks to the large 3D V-Cache, the processor can quickly access significantly more data and accelerate calculations. Your system thus performs more operations in less time. Especially computationally intensive games benefit enormously – more frames per second provide a smoother gaming experience.
