This power supply, designed to power systems based on smaller Mini-ITX format motherboards with a DC connector or AC/DC converter, is an external PSU. Connection to the power outlet is made via a three-pin C5 cold device cable included in the scope of delivery.

The power supply itself is connected to the appropriate motherboard at the DC input or a corresponding socket on the AC/DC converter board via a standard barrel connector. In the first case, voltage conversion for the additional components of the computer is carried out entirely by the mainboard.

The Akasa power supply is rated for up to 84 watts and delivers up to seven amps at +12 volts. The power output is adequately dimensioned for energy-efficient systems with motherboards in the small Mini-ITX form factor. However, the requirements of more demanding configurations with dedicated graphics cards are not met.

Suitable for Mini PCs

The power supply is the ideal complement to a Mini-ITX motherboard, which can be installed in a compatible mini case from the Crypto and Euler M series or, for example, Cypher, Galileo, and Euler from Akasa. With this combination and energy-efficient hardware, it is possible to configure affordable, extremely quiet to silent computers.

Fanless Design

The Akasa power supply is perfectly suited for use in offices and living rooms, operating completely without a fan. However, it should be noted that motherboards with a 19V DC input also require a corresponding 19V power supply.
