The Thermal Grizzly CPU Contact Frame Intel 1700 LT is the „Lite” version of the Intel 13th/14th Gen CPU Contact Frames and is produced using cost-effective injection moulding. To achieve the necessary stability for the Contact Frame, a high-quality acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer with a 15% glass fibre content is used. The inner contour of the Lite version is identical to that of the frame milled from aluminium.

The standard Integrated Loading Mechanism (ILM) has contact points located in the middle of the elongated CPU. As a result of the resulting uneven pressure of the processor in the socket, the surface of the Integrated Heatspreader (IHS) becomes concave. This causes the base plate of the CPU cooler to mainly rest on the edges of the IHS, so that the thermal „hotspot” in the middle of the CPU is not optimally covered.

The CPU Contact Frame Intel 1700 LT has a special inner contour to shift the pressure from the centre of the CPU to the edges during installation. This avoids the concave curvature of the IHS. This results in CPU coolers sitting better on the processor and having a larger contact area to dissipate the CPU’s heat.

The installation of the Contact Frame is very simple and only requires a few steps. Depending on the CPU cooler and CPU used, the processor temperatures can be noticeably reduced.

The CPU Contact Frame Intel 1700 LT is compatible with processors of the 12th, 13th, and 14th generation for socket LGA1700. Additionally, the frame is compatible with CPUs whose Integrated Heatspreader (IHS) has been ground down by no more than 0.2 millimetres. When installing, care must be taken to ensure that there are no electronic components under the frame. This is especially important for motherboards with the Mini-ITX form factor.
