The MSI B550M Pro-VDH is equipped with the B550 chipset and is suitable for AMD processors with AM4 socket. The motherboard supports PCIe 4.0 for extremely fast graphics cards. The MSI B550M Pro-VDH in detail

The B550M Pro-VDH is a micro-ATX motherboard with an Intel B550 chipset and provides a PCIe x16 slot for expansion cards. The slot is connected directly to the CPU with a total of 16 lanes and supports PCIe 4.0. Two additional PCIe x1 slots are connected to the chipset with PCIe 3.0.

Memory

Up to 128 GB of DDR4 memory can be operated in four DIMM slots in dual-channel mode. The board natively supports RAM speeds of 3,200 MHz, with overclocking up to 4,400 MHz possible.

Drives

The B550M Pro-VDH offers a total of two M.2 slots for SSDs. One of them is directly connected to the CPU via PCIe 4.0. The other M.2 slot is connected to the chipset via PCIe 3.0. Additionally, there are four SATA 6G connectors available for more SSDs, hard drives, and optical drives.

USB, Network, and Sound

The I/O panel provides HDMI, VGA, and DisplayPort video outputs, offering a total of three options for video output via the processor’s iGPU. There are plenty of connectivity options for gaming peripherals, including four USB 3.0 Type-A ports (max. 5 Gbit/s) and two USB 2.0 ports. Audio output is provided via three 3.5 mm jacks connected to the onboard sound chip ALC892.

For network connectivity, the MSI B550M Pro-VDH features a 1-Gigabit LAN port and two antenna connectors that offer WiFi ac and Bluetooth 4.2. A WiFi antenna is already included in the package.
