The Montech XR Midi Tower in Detail

The XR from Montech is a Midi Tower with a very elegant front I/O combined with a design that resembles wood grain. It is also optimised for airflow and comes with a total of three integrated, powerful ARGB PWM fans pre-installed. With this, the manufacturer establishes the foundation for any gaming PC that focuses on cooling performance. The case is made of a sturdy steel construction, with its side panel and front made of Tempered Glass. The top, the side of the power supply chamber, and the rear side panel are equipped with a fine mesh. The high air permeability benefits the cooling of your components.

Montech XR: Elegant, compact, and robust

Both proponents of air cooling and water cooling enthusiasts will be satisfied with this case: The Montech XR offers options for installing a total of nine fans. Instead of the front, two strong 120mm fans are pre-installed on the side. Installation of three 120mm fans is possible on the bottom power supply cover. A 120mm fan is also pre-installed on the back. All three of the Montech fans can be controlled via PWM signal and have ARGB lighting. In the top, three 120mm or two 140mm fans can be retrofitted. The height of the CPU cooler is limited to a maximum of 175mm.

Ample Space for Radiators

Montech has also catered to fans of AiOs or custom water cooling. Up to 240mm radiators can be mounted on the side. There is space for a radiator up to 360mm on the top. Thanks to the generous mesh areas, plenty of air flows in and out of the case. Additional dust filters are installed on the side and bottom to ensure the effectiveness of your cooling system and to simplify cleaning your fans. You can easily remove, clean, and re-install them.

Space for Drives and Well-Equipped I/O Panel

The interior offers exceptionally ample space for powerful hardware, for example, for ATX motherboards and high-performance gaming graphics cards up to 420mm in length. With Montech’s optional PCI bracket, the graphics card can also be installed vertically. Two 2.5-inch SSDs can be secured in the corresponding brackets on the back of the motherboard tray.

Under the power supply cover of the Montech XR, there is a drive cage for two 3.5-inch hard drives. Behind that, an ATX power supply up to 230mm in length can fit. The I/O panel of the SKY TWO offers two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a USB-C port, one 3.5mm headphone jack for headphones and microphone, and a Reset button.
