The QD series of quick disconnects from Koolance allows the coolant circuit to be interrupted in a very simple and practical way by simply pressing down a metal ring. This is especially necessary where hoses or water cooling components integrated there need to be frequently disconnected from the rest of the water cooling system.

For example, think of an external radiator that you want to quickly and safely disconnect from the PC during transport to carry it separately. Or a water cooling component that you change more frequently, whether out of experimental enthusiasm (CPU, chipset cooler) or due to regular upgrades (VGA cooler).

Two QD3 quick disconnects made of nickel-plated brass are connected or disconnected from each other (one male, one female), whereby Koolance has developed valves that, as the name No-Spill suggests, are intended to ensure a certain leak-free performance. However, it should be noted that a one hundred percent immediate seal is not possible and up to 0.2 ml of liquid may escape.

This quick disconnect represents the straight male version with a hose connection via compression fitting, where the inner diameter may be 10 mm and the outer diameter 13 millimetres.
