Observatory Y ARGB: Familiar case with new features

The Kolink Observatory Y ARGB from the Observatory series is a premium case with innovative features aimed specifically at RGB lovers and water cooling enthusiasts. Four Kolink Umbra PWM/ARGB 120mm fans are pre-installed on the front and rear to increase airflow while adding colorful accents. The spacious interior is easily accessible thanks to the removable side panels and provides ample room for your high-end hardware.

The Observatory Y ARGB midi tower is equipped with a variety of new upgrades and improvements. The premium case offers a wide range of practical and innovative features and also allows versatile options for future customization. The clever interior design and integrated ARGB fans also make the case the perfect choice for hardware enthusiasts and RGB lovers.

Elegant tempered glass meets solid steel

Using high-quality materials, the Kolink Observatory Y ARGB provides good support and stability for all installed hardware. The frame and the casing are made of 0.7 mm thick SPCC steel and provide a robust structure for the case. A hinged tempered glass side panel provides a view into the inner workings of your precious computer.

The Kolink Observatory Y ARGB has four pre-installed Kolink Umbra PWM-ARGB 120 mm fans. Three of them are mounted on the front, the last one on the back. Since they are PWM fans, their speed adjusts to the workload – higher speeds are used when the workload is intense, while they require fewer RPMs when not in use for quieter operation. This supports the airflow provided by the ventilation and mesh cover.

Alternatively, there are plenty of options for fans and radiators throughout the case, making the Kolink Observatory Y ARGB ideal for custom water cooling. The front panel offers space for three 120mm or 140mm fans. The panel can alternatively accommodate 240mm, 280mm, and 360mm radiators. On the top, there is room for three 120mm fans, two 140mm fans, or a radiator up to 360mm in size. The back can accommodate a single 120mm or 140mm fan or radiator, while the PSU case cover has mounts for two 120mm fans. Thanks to the spacious interior, there is also room for a CPU cooler with a height of up to 175mm.

Superior hardware support

With its specially designed interior, the Observatory Y ARGB offers incredible flexibility when it comes to the hardware that can be installed. The motherboard tray can accommodate all motherboard form factors, including E-ATX, and supports seven expansion slots. This case is compatible with the Kolink Vertical GPU Kit, which allows for vertical mounting of graphics cards. With clearance for up to 380mm long cards, this case can accommodate most triple-slot GPUs currently available.

In the lower part of the case, the special power supply cover with a removable panel provides easier access. Under the cover, there is room for an ATX power supply with a length of up to 190mm and a drive cage for two 3.5-inch drives. There are also mounts for three 2.5-inch SSDs on the back of the motherboard rear panel – a truly comprehensive and flexible support for your storage solution.

Great airflow thanks to four ARGB fans

The black interior of the Observatory Y provides the perfect stage for your RGB lighting, your impressive hardware or your sleeved cables. A hidden cable management area behind the mainboard tray also keeps the interior tidy. This area is equipped with three Velcro strips and offers 30 mm of space to neatly route cables and lead them directly to the motherboard. The I/O panel is located directly above this area, including ports for 2x USB 3.1, 1x USB 2.0 and HD audio.

The four pre-installed Umbra ARGB fans not only impress with excellent cooling, but also provide a great light show with their ARGB lighting. The ARGB lighting can be customised with the Umbra ARGB controller and downloadable software. Alternatively, the ARGB lighting can be adjusted via compatible software when connected to a 3-pin 5V ARGB header on the mainboard.
