Ever heard of Military Standard (MIL-STD) Certification? The U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) originally created reliability standards to benchmark equipment that they purchased or designed. Over the last few decades, this has been updated to encompass over a thousand different kinds of reliability tests, including rain, shock, heat, impact and many others. We’ve designed the Padlock 2 against 7 MIL-STD 810H reliability standards, to create the toughest smart padlock in the world.

Unique algoPIN™
Our unique algoPIN™ uses technology that’s similar to a banking token’s One Time Password (OTP).

How does algoPIN™ allow you to generate PIN codes without WiFi?

STEP 1 – Pairing
After installation, you’ll need to pair your lock to your igloohome account via the igloohome app on your smartphone.
Upon successful pairing, your smartphone will sync the unique PIN token to our secure cloud servers and does not retain the token locally.

STEP 2 – Generate PIN
When creating PIN codes for guests or family members, your smartphone sends a request to your token in the cloud servers.
Using algorithms and seeds, a unique PIN code si the generated at random with the validity duration built into it.
There´s no need for you to be near the lock to do this.

STEP 3 – Grant PIN
Now armed with a PIN code, you cna share this with your desired recipient via WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, SMS and more.
There´s no need for your guest to download an additional app to recive the PIN code.

STEP 4 – Access Property
As the PIN code is keyed into the respective igloohome device, the lock translates the PIN code into the desired action e.g.
Grant access once only.

The Padlock comes with 2 modes of access
Bluetooth unlock via app – Bluetooth keys via your smartphone when you’re within range to unlock your padlock.
PIN codes – Generate and send PIN codes to your guests.

Always in the loop.
Through the app, you can view the activity logs to keep track of who’s accessed your Padlock. Bluetooth unlocks are updated in real-time remotely.

Auto Lock
Automatically locks once the shackle is fastened.

Security Lockout
Padlock access is disabled after several incorrect access attempts to ensure your assets are secured.

Relock Reminder Alert
Lock will display an LED alert to remind users to fasten the shackle.

Low Battery Alert
Intuitive LED alert will prompt you to charge the batteries when it runs low.

Emergency Jumpstart
Easily jumpstart the lock with a USB-C cable connected to a power bank if batteries are drained.

Rechargeable Battery
Simply recharge the lock with a USB-C cable if battery levels run low. 9 months worth of use in less than an hour of charging.

Volume Control
Adjust the volume according to your preference. Select from levels 0 (mute) to 5 (loudest).

Protective Silicone Case
Added protection for your Padlock from weather elements, scratches and dust.
Not recommended to be used in outdoor settings or if device is subject to heavy rainfall.

Interchangeable shackle
