The GIGABYTE B650M Gaming Plus WiFi is equipped with the B650 chipset for AMD’s Ryzen processors of the 7000 series and comes with numerous features for gamers. Since the Ryzen 7000 processors require a new socket due to support for PCIe 5.0 and enhanced power delivery, the Socket AM5 (LGA 1718) is used on the 600 series motherboards.
Despite the increased pin count, the actual size of the socket remains identical to older sockets, allowing most CPU coolers for Socket AM4 to be mounted on the motherboard.
Stable Power Supply
The GIGABYTE B650M Gaming Plus WiFi offers a power supply with 5+2+2 phases. This makes the motherboard suitable for use with high-performance Ryzen CPUs. Large heatsinks, such as those on the M.2 slot, ensure safe operation and cooling of critical components. Thanks to Q-Flash Plus, the BIOS can be conveniently updated via USB stick and reset at the push of a button with the Clear CMOS button.
