A hand pump for diesel fuel systems is used to suck air when replacing the fuel filter. It works by compression and has a universal quick connector for various fuel pumps.
Use:
1. Make sure the engine is stopped and cool.
2. Connect the hand pump quick connector to the appropriate location in the fuel system. Make sure the connection is tight to prevent leaks.
3. Grasp the pump and start squeezing it slowly and evenly. This will draw air from the fuel system, making it easier to remove debris and replace the fuel filter.
4. Continue pumping until clean, air-free fuel flows.
5. Once the process is complete, check if all connections are tight and there are no fuel leaks.
