Socket-Specific Cooling Engine
Embedded in the Velocity² Edge – AM5 Special Edition is a socket-specific low hydraulic flow restriction and high-performance cooling engine, which is achieved by a combination of mounting pressure and cold plate geometry tailored for the IHS and die layout of the AMD AM5 socket. The lathe-turned cold plate is made with precision to cover the IHS effectively and put optimal pressure on the die area. Flow is also being directed into areas that need it most with the help of an asymmetric jet plate cutout. The Velocity² series water blocks cover the entirety of the socket while conforming to socket guidelines about mounting pressure and socket keep-out zones.

Water Block Material and Manufacturing
The cold plate of this water block is manufactured of the highest-grade 99.99% pure electrolytic copper, precision-machined to ensure the best possible contact and superior heat transfer. This version of the water block boasts a nickel-plated cold plate paired with a robust plexi top. Adding to its distinctive design, the top cover is made from high-grade aluminum, intricately CNC-milled into an array of irregular tetrahedrons, and finished in elegant silver anodization. Before the CNC process, the top cover material, consisting of a 30mm thick aluminum sheet, is carefully prepared, ensuring robustness and precision in design. This meticulous combination of top-tier materials and advanced manufacturing techniques provides both exceptional performance and striking aesthetics.

Patented EK-ExactMount System
Our patented EK-ExactMount system revolutionizes the installation process. Consisting of just three components – a stock backplate, mounting screws, and the water block itself – it achieves a seamless and aesthetically pleasing front appearance without any screws in sight. The pre-tensioned springs hidden in the water block top ensure quick installation and the correct mounting pressure, making it user-friendly and safe for your hardware.

Compatible with all popular addressable RGB sync technologies from major motherboard manufacturers, the EK-Quantum Velocity² Edge D-RGB – AM5 Silver Special Edition features 30 addressable RGB LEDs.
