This oil tester is based on the American standard ASTM D7899, which uses a chromatography technique in which a specially selected material separates the oil into individual fractions, each with its own color.
This phenomenon becomes more pronounced as the oil degrades. Compare the results with the chart on the label.
Instructions:
Warm the engine to an operating temperature of 90-110°C, then, after 30-40 minutes (idling or running), turn it off.
Complete the form and place the tester on a flat surface.
Remove the dipstick or take a sample from the oil pan and apply 1-3 drops of oil to the center of the tester, in the same location.
Wait 40 minutes and compare the results with the chart on the back. To preserve your results, take a photo or scan them.
