AOC Gaming 24G42E: Monitor for fast and fluid gameplay
The AOC Gaming 24G42E features a 23.8-inch (60.5 cm) display with a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (Full HD) and a high refresh rate of 180 hertz. The IPS panel offers excellent viewing angles of 178 degrees both horizontally and vertically.
With AMD FreeSync, the AOC Gaming 24G42E includes adaptive synchronisation technology that can be used with compatible AMD graphics cards.
This prevents tearing effects by matching the monitor’s refresh rate to the FPS calculated by the graphics card. Together with the fast response time of half a millisecond MPRT, quick mouse movements are displayed sharply and without blurring effects.
Design and connectivity
The casing of the gaming monitor is black with red accents on the back. With its thin display bezels, the Gaming 24G42E looks modern and is suitable for multi-monitor setups. The VESA mounting holes spaced 100 x 100 millimetres allow for mounting on alternative monitor stands. The monitor’s I/O panel includes one DisplayPort connection and one HDMI connection.
