Akasa Apache PWM Fan – 140mm, black

After the success of the Ultra-Quiet series fans, Akasa has expanded its range with more models that combine design and functionality in an excellent way.

The Apache AH-64 is probably the most well-known attack helicopter and represents one of the most advanced weapon systems of the US Army. The helicopter now lends its name to a fan from Akasa. After the striking version with camouflage paint, this more subtle black edition is now available.

The only difference between the two is the colour design, as both share the same innovative construction, allowing for quiet yet powerful airflow. The fan blade design has been completely revised compared to previous models. The edge is no longer simply curved but follows an S-shape. This computer-optimised form is designed to increase airflow by an impressive 30% at the same speed.

To further reduce noise emissions, a new hydrodynamic bearing has been developed, which runs more quietly with less friction and is also more durable. Additionally, dust ingress has been reduced with the IP54 standard.

This is a 140 mm fan with a PWM connector. The Apache can therefore be controlled via the motherboard, provided it has the necessary function. The speed, airflow, and noise level can be adjusted over a wide range, allowing for maximum cooling or extremely quiet operation, depending on the situation. At maximum settings, it provides 151 m³/h at 1,300 RPM, and at minimal settings, it offers 12.5 dB(A) at 600 RPM.
