The Wave 1 LR uses Z-Wave Long Range technology, which was designed for installations requiring reliable communication over long distances. Under favorable conditions, the device maintains a stable connection with a compatible hub even from a distance exceeding 1 km in line of sight. This solution is ideal for large properties, farms, warehouses, or buildings with a remote garage. Unlike the classic Z-Wave Plus mesh network, ZWLR technology uses a star topology, allowing communication to take place directly with the control panel. You can also choose between two operating frequencies (864 MHz for Z-Wave Long Range and 868.4 MHz for standard Z-Wave Plus), allowing you to tailor the operation to your specific setup.

Thanks to its potential-free, dry contacts, the Shelly Wave 1 LR works with a wide range of devices that require electrical signal control. You can easily integrate it with garage door and gate openers, electric locks, lighting, or irrigation systems, and its support for both low and high voltage further increases installation flexibility. The Wave 1 LR allows you to create schedules tailored to your daily routines, as well as automatically perform scheduled actions based on sunrise and sunset times. The device also allows you to create complex automation scenes by working with other Z-Wave devices. For example, opening the gate can automatically turn on the driveway lights, and a scheduled routine will ensure regular garden watering without the need for manual intervention.
