The RainPoint ITV447 irrigation controller is a practical solution for your garden that allows you to manage watering in 4 independent zones. The device offers automatic operating cycles in two modes—every 1–12 hours or every 1–7 days—with the ability to set watering times from 1 minute to 4 hours, and up to 8 hours in manual mode. The built-in rain delay function (24/48/72 h) helps prevent overwatering, and the low-battery protection automatically closes the valves, preventing water loss. The controller operates at a pressure of 0.5–8 bar, supports 3/4" (NH/US) and 3/4" and 1" (BSP/EU) threads, is powered by 4 AA batteries (not included), and has an IP65 rating, making it suitable for daily outdoor use.

The controller allows you to connect four irrigation lines and set a separate schedule for each one. This lets you tailor the amount of water to specific plants—a lawn has different needs than flower beds or a drip system—resulting in more efficient watering.

Two operating modes allow you to set watering at short hourly intervals or on a daily cycle. As a result, the system operates regularly without the need for manual intervention, and plants receive water at appropriate intervals.

Rain Delay function – less unnecessary watering

The Rain Delay feature allows you to easily pause scheduled watering for 24, 48, or 72 hours without having to change the entire schedule. In practice, this means that after heavy rainfall, you can “pause” the system with a single setting, instead of manually turning off each zone or modifying the program. After the selected time has elapsed, the controller automatically returns to its previous settings, so there’s no risk of forgetting to restart the irrigation. This solution helps better adjust water usage to actual weather conditions. You reduce overwatering, which benefits plant health while also lowering water consumption.

Manual mode without changing settings

The controller allows you to start watering at any time, regardless of the programmed schedule. Importantly, this one-time activation does not affect the saved cycles—once the operation is complete, the device returns to the previously set schedule. This allows you to quickly respond to your garden’s current needs, for example during a heatwave or after fertilizing, without the risk of disrupting the entire system.

Stable flow and compatibility

The controller’s design ensures smooth water flow and stable operation within a pressure range of up to 8 bar. Standard connectors allow for easy installation on popular garden faucets, in both European and American systems.

Clear display and convenient controls

The controller features a clear LCD screen that displays key information in one place, such as the current time, set start time, watering duration, and cycle frequency. This means you don’t have to click through multiple options to check settings—everything is visible at a glance. The option to choose between 12-hour or 24-hour time formats allows you to adjust the display to your preferences, making daily operation easier.

Low battery protection

When the battery level begins to drop, the controller automatically closes the valves and stops the water flow. This prevents the system from remaining open uncontrollably, which could lead to continuous watering and significant water waste. This feature is particularly useful when you are unable to check the device regularly—for example, while you are away. Automatic water shut-off not only protects your water bills but also prevents your plants from being overwatered and protects the entire system from unnecessary strain.

Designed for outdoor use

The IP65-rated housing protects the device from moisture and rain. However, it is important to remember that the controller should be used at temperatures between 3°C and 50°C—it is recommended to remove it before frost to avoid damage caused by frozen water.
