    Aprašymas

Mobile Origin Rotating adapter with display 540°, 240W, USB-C, CB15

The Mobile Origin CB15 is a rotating USB-C adapter with a display that connects between your charging cable and device. It transmits up to 240 W (48 V / 5 A) of power and shows the current, voltage, and power consumption directly on a small LED display during charging. The connector is held by a double joint with 360° rotation and 180° tilt, allowing you to rotate and tilt it to the angle that matches your device’s position.

    • Up to 240 W (48 V / 5 A) power output: can power demanding laptops, not just phones.
    • LED display with real-time values: shows current, voltage, and power consumption (A / V / W), so you can see how many watts the device is actually drawing.
    • 540° rotating joint (360° rotation and 180° tilt): you can rotate and tilt the connector according to the space around the device, preventing the cable from sticking out and reducing strain.
    • 480 Mb/s data transfer: in addition to charging, you can also transfer photos, documents, or backups through the adapter without changing the cable.
    • E-Mark chip for power management: monitors power communication and safely transmits up to the full 240 W.

Up to 240W for phones and laptops

The CB15 carries up to 240 W at 48 V / 5 A, so it handles charging not only for phones but also for laptops with higher consumption. The 240 W at 48 V / 5 A figure corresponds to the Extended Power Range (EPR) of the USB Power Delivery 3.1 standard, that is today’s upper limit for charging over USB-C. The adapter doesn’t limit the power: it passes through as much as the charger supplies and the device requests.

On one side it has a USB-C connector that you plug into your device, on the other a USB-C port for the charging cable.

LED display with live charging readings

On the body of the adapter there’s an LED display that, while charging, alternately shows the current in amps, the voltage in volts, and the power draw in watts. So you can see directly how many watts your device is drawing at any given moment, without a separate USB tester. This lets you check whether the charger and cable are delivering the expected power, or whether charging is tapering off on its own once the battery reaches a higher level.

The display is especially handy for checking fast charging and for finding the weak link in a charger, cable, and device setup.

540° rotating joint: 360° rotation and 180° tilt

The adapter’s connector sits on a double joint: one axis rotates through 360° and the other tilts through 180°, for 540° in total. As a result, the cable runs from the connector in whatever direction suits your device’s position: straight, left, right, or to the side. This helps when your phone is lying on a desk or sitting in a holder and a straight connector would stick out to the side and get in the way.

The movable joint also reduces strain on the connector and the cable at the bend, where wear usually occurs.

    Data transfer at 480 Mbps

The adapter also handles data transfer at 480 Mbps to the USB 2.0 standard. When you connect a phone to a laptop through it, you can move photos, documents, or a backup without swapping cables. A speed of 480 Mbps is enough for everyday files, photos, and documents; for large amounts of full-quality video, expect a longer transfer time. Data transfer is a complement to charging and comes in handy when you’ve already got the adapter plugged in and need to move a few files quickly.

    E-Mark chip and power management

Inside the adapter there’s an E-Mark chip that communicates with both the charger and the device about how much power the connection can handle. Without an E-Mark chip, power transfer over USB-C stops at a lower level; it’s this chip that makes it possible to safely carry the full 240 W. Depending on the charger supplied and the device connected, the adapter works with levels up to 240 W.

The power is therefore governed by what the connection actually needs and what the charger offers, rather than a fixed value.

    Dimensions and weight

The adapter measures 40.5 x 10 x 7.9 mm and weighs 3 g, so when plugged into your device it doesn’t get in the way and adds no noticeable weight to the cable. The body is made of aluminium alloy and PVC in grey; the metal helps draw heat away from the connector at higher power. Thanks to its small size, it fits in a laptop bag pocket or a cable pouch, and you can leave it permanently fitted on the end of a cable. At 3 g, it doesn’t strain the device’s port even during longer use.
