One example of this are the innovative lid knobs on this Anser range that can be adjusted to two positions, allowing them to be lifted up to protect fingers from burns on the heated glass. This means that even if you are working at speed with many different pans on the go, you can lift the lids with ease.

Measurement scale inside
We all like to try to streamline things as much as possible.
